I agree, the big problem with these videos is that we never see what the knucklehads are doing. The bigger problem is that liberals will take the ball and run with it so to speak. They will accuse this officer of brutality without knowing all of the facts. Here we go again!

I am with jcutrell... There has to be a reason the officers specifaclly picked him out. The thing about the videos by the public is they never catch the bad guy doing what he did before the fact. Maybe the cyclist did hit a car, a mirror, almost ran over a pedestrian, stole the bike. There are numerous reasons of why this officer might have taken this guy out. Eventhough, it is a liability of how he took the guy out, but hey that was one good hit. And if you noticed, the cyclist ducked his head down as to prepare hisself to ram the cop in the first place, what's up with that? And if this cop is a rookie, then depending on the circumstances, he just needs to be written up and let this be a lesson learned...

I just don't get it. There is too much missing from the video. You can not tell what he was doing prior to the officer nailing him. I don't know. It's a horrible site to see, but for some reason I'm willing to be he did something to bring negative attention onto himself, because there is hundreds of other bicyclist riding by and they are not targeting them. What made this guy stand out. You have to ask yourself that. Without seeing the movement and what he was doing before it's hard to say. If it was just as unprovoked as it looked. He is a disgrace and definitely over zelous and needs to be let go. It's just a shame it had to even happen.

It appears that the striking officer and his partner were looking for a particular cyclist. They may have had a report making him a suspect for some offense. There is a sidewalk full of witnesses. I doubt the officer just picked him out of the group to knock over. The cyclist made no attempt to stop or slow down as the officer moves to intercept him. The cyclist that stops after the incident leans in and takes the bike that was involved. Maybe it was stolen???

One of the hardest job to get and the easiest to loose. That sucks, what an idiot. How many potential officers got turned down form the academy in NY becasue it was full because this moron was in it.
