The Police Chief ripped into the people on local media for not helping. He told them how disgusted he was. The justification.......there were "four 911 calls made" I counted way more then 4 people. Ass Holes!
UNBELIEVABLE. Amazing how people treat each other nowadays, it's really discusting. How about "fail to stop and render aid" charges. I say take away the licenses of every one of the drivers who simply drove around. Just goes to show that all anyone cares about is good ol' numero uno. I hope that those who did nothing can see themselves on youtube as a reminder of what worthless pieces of garbage they are, and what was the guy standing over him at the end doing, looks like taking pictures on a cell phone, but I'm not for sure.

I really am irritated at the fact that none of these people stopped after he was hit. They were just rubber neckers who slowed down enough to see what happened, then just came going. Great bystanders if you ask me. not!! People can be so stupid at times.
I wondered what the reaction was locally - the incident didn't even get a mention in the web edition of the local paper four days later! That's how much they cared!
Man, I don't want to be in Hartford if I get hurt!!! Can you believe how many people just drove around him, and walked by him? WTF, what ever happened to compassion for human life. At least hold his hand and try and reasure him as you call 911! That was just a sorry display of our current society. Poor old man, I hope he makes it.
That is a sad statement of our society, but, the fact of the matter is.... The poor man is now paralized and if anyone would have tried to of rendered aid, they would be sued now for causing his paralsis. Another statement on our society.
This is one reason why I don't think I could ever be a police officer. I'll always support Law Enforcement, but this video is just more evidence of a public that doesn't deserve to be protected. We had one of these a year ago where I live... the suspect hasn't been caught yet... oh, and no one saw a thing at that particular hit and run either. Sad.
