This cop was on a traffic stop. A reckless motorist drives by, striking the officer and causing him to flip over the hood of the driver's vehicle. Anyone know any other info on this incident, please post if so.

wow, i actually did learn something on TV. this was on most outragious police videos on spike tv, and from what the officer said this was from ohio, and the officer only suffered bruises, lacerations, and tweaked his knee, he was back on duty in a few months is what the guy said. the cops said all he could think about after he was on the ground was getting to safety. so no worries guys/girls, the officer made a full recovery, stay safe.

It's really a trade off in this type of a stop. He is stopped where there is a guard rail on the passenger side. Dangerous no matter what side the officer was on. Unfortunately in his 50/50 decision, he chose the wrong side for this stop. I think he faired well, do not know for sure. Anyone know???

Yup! The passenger side is always the safest...at least better than the driver's side.

I said, Oh my God, and my wife yelled from the living room, "what's wrong"? That was just terrible. I hope this officer is OK. Ladies and Gentlemen, please use the passenger side on stops. I am seeing alot more of this in New Jersey and it makes me very happy. I got a flat last week on the interstate, and a NJ State Trooper stopped and I thanked him for coming to my passenger side. Be Safe out there!
