Close call, although the driver being pulled over should have pulled over with half of his vehicle on the grass area. Plus the driver who clipped the Trooper should have moved into the middle lane before passing them up. I can't see how something like this can possibly happen......that is "if" you are actually paying attention to the road ahead of you.
I broke down one time and A gentleman came to assist me and a semi actually drug him tearing off his T Shirt, the guy walked away with only a scratch! I was freaking out and my cell was dead to call for help! The guy kept saying he was fine but I know he had to be hurt! I an glad to see Officers approach the vehicle from the right now! Just makes more sence!
Drive by high speed pick-pocketing at it's finest.
Damn rubberneckers. My wife is forever saying "What is that?" or "Look over there" - I let her know I'm driving and then tell her of these stories and clips and how people naturally steer in the direction they're looking. Crap - they taught me this in driver's ed at 15 yrs old! This was one thing that really stuck out in my mind. Nothing to reinforce it like finding yourself drifting to one side of the road or another and then correcting only to realize how quickly things happen.
"but in truth the Officer made an error as well, he should have approched the vehicle from the passengers side when he realized that the vehicle was to closwe to the flow of traffice." (uncorrected quote) jss... are you kidding me? that trooper should have been able to walk in the right lane and do dance there... THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK IS AN IDIOT... so what you are telling us is that if he made contact on the passenger side he would have been safer? What if he would have been on the passenger side and the truck plowed into the car putting the car on top of him?? Anyway you spin this it is a dangerous situation.. and this is why we *have laws against driving in the lane next to an emergency vehicle parked on the road way with his lights on.*

Since I've seen similar videos in the past, I always slow down and watch where they're standing when I'm passing by a traffic stop.
