Just like it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a precinct to bring down a giant like this character! Of course, he may just have been trying to make it to the Bud truck he smacked into.
I agree with several other folks: Tasers/OC spray would've made sense, but, amazingly enough, there are still some agencies that don't have the full range of less-than-lethal means available, some due to financial issues, some due to community concerns. But the street cop just keeps "doing the do" as best he/she can, God bless them all!

WOW!! That is one big dude!!! I honestly don't think that OC or Taser would have stopped him or subdued him, rather pissed him off more. That was one struggle to get him out of the car, but when he started to fight the officers, that's where I can see taking out the ASP and knocking him in the knee or ankle to get him down. It's temporary pain, it works, and the guy will recover to serve his time!
