These guys should watch some NFL on Sundays as a training video to see how us Yanks HIT AND go for the legs to take down a perp instead of running around like their carrying a rugby ball up field. At least when it comes to this video, "What happens in England should stay in England. OR like said below...have them watch the Vegas choke slam method.
i dont know if id go as far as chucky says... but i would def. have deployed my asp and gave him a few blows to the major muscle groups to inflict enough pain to cause compliance
THe thing that imressed me was how polite the cop was the whole time. They got the job done, and very well, but the guy was so polite. And then when his partner shot him in the face with pepper spray, he was like, "just another day at the office, mate." I'd have been cussing my arse off! lol
In the UK weve been begging our bosses for Taser for too long.. normally it takes one of us to get killed before things change... and your right he wasnt the hardest target in the world get hold of him !!!!!!!! very embarressing
Screw the Taser, this calls for good old fashion beat down, several knees and punches...send him to the hosptial and give him something to think about for several weeks...
I kept expecting to see the Perps head go through the Phone Booth. The British Police that I know are similar to the Politzi in Germany. Those that dont have guns, dont play around, and rough play is accepted as necessary conduct and a fact of life.

A nice twist-lock, a good hard take-down and if necessary, an introductory taser deployment would solve this BS! I mean really folks, the Brits are known for their hand-on tactics. Stuff happens and OC'ing your partner can happen as well. In the first few seconds of the fight I can understand the lack of control, but business NEEDED to be taken care of. These guys certainly were not losing the fight, but they had other people there that posed an officer safety threat. Had one of them or more, jumped into the fray, then there would really have been problems.
