At first glance it seems like the subject is complying by putting down the rifle. The officer coming around the building sees an additional threat which is the firearm the subject is retrieving from his right back area.

Wife2Crpl.........look at the Late Model SUV & Van. It's a recent training video. The Jeans are "Relax Fit" type sold today. They did several things wrong....and I'm guessing on purpose so they could use it for Training.1) Guy near porch stepped into a crossfire. 2) Took sight of gun off perp after shooting. 3) Never announced themselves as Police.......for starters.

everyone says this may be fake, and yes it may be.. but if you notice the officer who walks up (great shot of butt) he has pants on that seem from the 80's.. cops werent trained all that great back then... so if its fake or not.. the cop is an idiot for putting his gun away before even coming up close to the guy.. i sure would be mad at my husband if that were him, the guy could have brought the gun back up and boom.. the cop would be very hurt at least... so from watching with my husband many times and just by myself.. i think they had poor tactic training or not.. i am involved in scenarios at the academy and the guys would be in trouble if that was at our academy... never give up your guard.. but either way fake or real.. good on the back up officer.. keeping eyes open and aware.. brownie points to you sir!!!!!

Good point by previous comments. bad tactics to holster and not keep suspect covered. Had two guns how do you know he doesn't have a third or a friend nearby. didn't seem to be properly cleared. good video for training though

i agree staged probably training video. who would holster up and walk up to him with no cover officers after that?
