Creative Cuffing for the Small-Wristed

In defensive tactics for policing, we’re always looking for ways to control (that operative word is bolded on purpose) the behaviorally challenged individual. Unfortunately, not all wrists come in a convenient size to fit our handcuffs. Many people with slender wrists, particularly juveniles, are able to slip out of the cuffs despite our best efforts to do the right things. I have to agree, this works! I learned this while in the academy...I am one of those with very smal wrists and one of the instructors demonstrated this method on my wrists! Works great!!!!

That is a great Idea... I know I have had the challenge of big wrist and correct that with shackles, they are bigger and still double lock. I am gonna try this when I have a tiny wristed person.

Cool.. Now all we have to do is figure out how to hancuff someone with some Big 'ol Wrists. And Trust Me, I've Seen friends with some Big A$$ hands!
