Tattoos are a method of self-expression. They can showcase a part of your personality, serve as a memorial to a loved one, or remind you of a certain time in your life. However, the thought of the tattoo needle can be frightening. If you want a tattoo, but are afraid of the pain, there are several things you can try to make it hurt less. A professional, experienced tattoo artist, such as Raiser Kenniff can talk you through the whole process and help you make an informed decision about your body art.

Seriously, the ignorance I see on this page by some totally blows me away. Just because we are police officers and have tattoos that means we are unethical and not honest? Seriously? I am totally sleeved and I am lucky to have found a department that DOES LET ME WHERE SLEEVES ALL YEARS ROUND, in Florida no less. I acquired many of my tattoos while I served my country in the Military with a tour in Iraq. Many of our service members are tatt'd pretty good and I do no see that taking away from their service to this COUNTRY or to their honor and integrity. I believe it is about time that certain members of our society realize what year it is and tattoos are a lot more accepted than in the past. Just because we have tattoos we are not trash. Lets get with the times....

Number 11 is by far the best. Lots of hours there! Tattoos showing...meh don't really care. I hate Police with beards, I think it looks ridiculous. Members unable to iron their uniforms properly is my biggest grind.

I have a few tats myself, however, I'm totally against any tattoo or any part of a tattoo beng visible while in uniform. And, no, you may not wear a long-sleeved shirt all year round. Unfortunately, the way that current society is degrading, in 20 years we'll see sleeved cops in short-sleeved shirts. The respect that we demand from the general public is diminishing drastically as every day passes. They hate our guts. And, just because you have a tattoo showing, or you have a stupid looking beard of some type, isn't going to make the public "like us" or "accept us" any better. We have a reputation to uphold, a clean-cut, honest & ethical reputation to uphold and this kind of trailer trash display ain't gonna help it! Just sayin...

Mine is number 6! and yes there is a story behind it and it took me a long time to decide on it. Its not just art, its something to remind me of my past and the obstacles and challenges I have overcome to be the man I am today as well as the officer I have become.

Many beautiful tats, maybe we should save the debate about visable or not for each agency on their own. If tats are allowed tats are allowed.
