Osama Bin Laden Killed

PoliceLink | AP Photos

May 1, 2011 marked a historic day for the United States when President Obama made an official statement announcing the death of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

In celebration of the incredible job our U.S. armed forces have displayed, as well as the swelling of American pride, we share with you this collection of photos over the last 48 hours. Enjoy and God Bless America.

There will always be somebody else just because Bin Laden is dead that doesn't mean terrorism is going to die with him. As long as you have those people in the Arab countries who hate the US and Isreal there will always be terrorism. I do not think AMERICA PRIDE was ever dead, them guys did a great job now what's next do the US continue to keep a presence over there or continue the fight against terrorism. GOD BLESS AMERICA USA and those who are serving and have served.

bluemoon38. That is from a speech of Martin Luther King and it is very poignant. Killing OBL has not stopped terrorism. Another will take his place, and yes the cancer will spread. The US, UK, Australia, France, Dutch have all lost troops in Iraq and Afghanistan because of the actions of OBL. Now it's time to refocus on why those forces are there, and bring them home safe. We can go on killing insurgents and terrorists in foreign countries for ever, but remember it will be your mother or father, brother, sister sacrificing their lives for that 'cause.' Too much blood has been dispersed. Bring our troops home.

A great slide show but could have left Bin Ladens face out of it.
In response to jlitespeed comment- I wonder if he would be as "concerned" in the same way if it was his mother or father, brother , sister that was forced to jump out of one of the burning twin towers to their death. or if you would feel the same way if your loved one was calling you from a cell phone to tell you terrorist are on the plane and they know they are all going to die right before the plane crashes the ground. Be glad there are brave American soldiers that are killing off the terrorists so you won't have to. You should know by now you cannot reason with the likes of evil (Bin Laden) He is like a cancer that you have to fight and kill or it will eventually kill you.

I was ecstatic when I saw the breaking news Sunday night about Osama Bin Shot In The Head! At the same time I realized we have to be as vigilant as ever, if not more. Bin Laden may have been the head of the snake, but this snake will grow new heads. He was a fool for attacking the U.S.A, but I bet he had already chosen one of his morons to succeed him in the event of his death. I think we all know that our war on terrorism will never end but I hope we can bring some of our troops home. I'm still elated and congratulate Presidents Obama, Bush and all of the brave men and women in our armed forces, and I know that many of you LEO'S are veterans or in the reserves, and a heartfelt thanks to you and our military. God Bless the U.S.A!

What a spontaneous display of patriotism we all witnessed ! I really did think most Americans did in fact FORGET. I could not have been more wrong. Regarding the under current of worry about how this elimination of UBL will cause his followers to strike at us ;that it will somehow motivate them to new levels of violence and retaliation. Two thoughts to consider "Never take counsel of your fears" George S. Patton Jr ,Gen USA . "Appeasement breeds contempt and weakness itself can be provocative" President Ronald Reagan.
    God Bless America.

“I’m concerned about a better world. I’m concerned about justice; I’m concerned about brotherhood; I’m concerned about truth. And when one is concerned about that, he can never advocate violence. For through violence you may murder a murderer, but you can’t murder murder. Through violence you may murder a liar, but you can’t establish truth. Through violence you may murder a hater, but you can’t murder hate through violence. Darkness cannot put out darkness; only light can do that.”

THE NAVY SEALS DID THEIR USUAL GREAT JOB. HOWEVER, LET'S NOT GET TOO JOVIAL. I CAN'T IMAGINE THAT THERE WON'T BE SOME RETALIATION. THESE PEOPLE HATED US BEFORE WE KILLED HUSSEIN AND BIN LADEN (AND IT LOOKS LIKE WE ARE TRYING TO KILL QUADDAFI)--SO WE NEED TO STAY ON THE ALERT AS INDIVIDUALS AND AS A NATION. AND, FOR THOSE OF US WHO BELIEVE IN PRAYER, THIS LOOKS LIKE A GOOD TIME TO GET "PRAYED UP."
