10 Most Stable Cities for Police Officers

PoliceLink

It’s been a rough few years for America as a whole, but the public service sector has felt it the most. As budget cuts continue to cut jobs, it’s more important than ever to get the most bang for your buck. And there’s no question about it — when it comes to value, not every U.S. city is created equally for Police Officers.

Why chase a great salary if your rent swallows most of it, unemployment is skyrocketing at nearby departments and you spend two hours a day just to get to and from work?

So, which cities offer the most overall value to Police Officers?

Forbes has just released their rankings for the most stable cities in the US – and some may surprise you!

WOW.. I guess the cost of living elsewhere in the US is fantastic. Starting pay for LEO's here in CA metro area is in the high 60's some departments start in the 90k range or more.. Its a lot tougher to get hired here I would think.

After 3 years "they" claim you'll be at 51K per year as well as not needing a degree.
I want to start off in the town I grew up in Hornlake Ms, get some experience and then do a lateral somewheres' else.

If you go to firelink you'll notice the exact same cities the fire departments make between $3,000-21,000 more then the police do! Thats degradingly disghusting and outlandishly stupid.
