CASTAIC, CA – Dallas police said Tuesday that a man wanted for impersonating a police officer in Dallas was arrested by U.S. marshals at his parent’s home in California.
Ryan Samul Caskey, 22, was taken into custory by marshals from U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) in Castaic, CA., Dallas police said.
Caskey was wanted in Dallas on charges that he impersonated a military police officer and claimed to be a member of an FBI task force when he accompanied police on at least six calls, including one where a woman reported a possible break-in, according to published reports.
On that call, police said, Caskey brandished a Glock pistol and kicked a door in as he assisted a Dallas police officer responding to the break-in report.
Caskey also was reported to have assisted an off-duty Arlington police officer at a bowling alley in south Arlington and responded to a wreck near Interstate 20, said Tiara Ellis, an Arlington police spokeswoman.
So far, Caskey is not facing any charges in Arlington, police officials said.
