The Idaho Statesman

BOISE, Idaho — Steven Fred Blake, 52, of Boise, is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of impersonation of a peace officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Boise police arrested Blake early Sunday morning after citizens caught him using a flashlight to look inside cars in the Willow Lane neighborhood, just west of the State Street/Veterans Memorial Parkway intersection, and then telling those citizens he was a police officer, according to reports.

Police officials did not disclose a theory as to why Blake was in the area of Willow Lane.
