I've done a few of these, and they're all awesome. Angel's Landing truly is outstanding, and the last half-mile is fun.

I have done the canyon thing, and the Appalachian trail since it is now not far from home but, the 1 thing that we do everytime we go home to visit is watch the whales is San Diego.

I actually just went offroading in Sedona on Saturday. I was the only one in our tour group, so I got an amazing experience. It's absolutely awesome out West (for an East coast boy)!!

Very nice article....I haven't done most of these other than Angel's Landing in Zion and it was a real test with the heights and sheer drops off the sides of the trails. I would definately say visit Zion and do this trail and also be sure to hike the Narrows (slot canyons of the Virgin River) absolutely incredible but plan on wet feet.
My favorite and you haven't lived until you've done the Via Ferrata climbing course at Nelson Rocks in Eastern WV......it is an absolute adrenalin rush....then leave there and go rafting on the upper Gauley River near Oak Hill WV....use ACE Adventures and go in the fall during the period they release water from the dam.......man what a ride!

Who needs any more of the "City"?
("Big City"... Merle Haggard)
It looks like after the disaster results they had with the "City Friendly Vacation" someone got the message and finally compiled a REAL list that is appealing!
Well done this time.
I have to say the Appalachian Trail have to be my favorite here, but they are all good.
