| Posted over 3 years ago A 13-p found in his car without pants explained to the officer that he had removed his pants because he was hot. The CAD notes reflected that the 13-p 'did not give any reason why he didn't removes his shirt instead.' LOL. |

We have 4 monitors. One for Omnixx 2 for CAD and one for Internet. We also have a keyboard for each screen. Not too long ago I was playing on the internet when it was dead and My friend and I got on the topic of Lindsey Lohan ( Have no Clue how we got there). He said she was hot and my reply was "oHHHHHH cOME ON rOB!!!" lol Keep in mind we have to type in all caps on CAD ( not on the internbet I looked down at my CAD screen and noticed the following(163 is me): 12/20/2009 23:00:01| 163 | UNIT ADVISED SUSPICOUS VEHICLE IN CHURCH PARKING LOT 12/20/2009 23:04:14| 163 | NLP*** 04 FORD CP TO JOHN DOE BROOKELAND 12/20/2009 23:06:45| 163 | TXDL12345678 JOHN DOE WM BROOKELAND 12/20/2009 23:05:50| 163 | TXDL87654321 JANE DOE WF BROOKELAND 12/20/2009 23:07:13| 163 | UNIT ADVISED COUPLE STOPPED TO FEED INFANT CHILD 12/20/2009 00:12:10| 163 | "oHHHHHH cOME ON rOB!!!!!!!" lol Apparently I thought I was typing on the internet screen. | Posted over 3 years ago Heard a call over the scanner about some females constantly running out to their front yard to pee because their house did not have running water. http://www.iamsorryivotedforobama.com/ How's that HOPE and CHANGE working out for you? What would you do for a Klondike bar? |

| Posted about 3 years ago This was more of the call log but the notes actually stated, "officer advised it was nature running its course."
Unit to HQ. Go ahead: I'll be out LPN 123ABC occupied 2x @ "location". 10-4. HQ 22 my last it was two indivuals just letting nature run its course. 10-8 Sgt to Ofc: Did you give them a stern talking to? Officer: No sir, I just let him finish and then told them they need to find somewher else. This was funny when he said this over the radio. I'm suprised we didn't get any calls from people in scanner land.

| Posted almost 3 years ago Several of my favorites so far... "fem complaining subj grabbed her boobies" by calltaker "Subj owns a potpouri of guns" by deputy "Compl is (waiting) in bathroom...advsd (argument) so loud he can't hear the toilet flush" by calltaker (deputy working OT) And judging by the callers it's only a matter of time before I let one loose. The first step to peace in our world is peace within ourselves. |

| Posted about 2 years ago Heard on the scanner one time:
County Dispatch: County to any EnCon unit on the air. EnCon: 401 on County. County Dispatch: Can you give us a landline here. EnCon: Sure, what's your number. There was a puase, then in a very low voice you heard, "Uuuh, 9, 1, 1"! |

| Posted about 2 years ago Heard on the scanner another time:
Thee County Dispatcher had sent 2 units to a burglar alarm at a residence. The Dispatcher had already made contact with the homeowner and told them of the alarm and to meet the patrols at their residence.
County Dispatch: 118 be advised the homeowner has an ETA of 10 minutes. Car 118: Better tell them to slow down or they'll beat us there!
It was hilarious at the time! |

| Posted about 2 years ago A few weeks ago I was out on a ride with county and responded to an assistance call. The "victim" claimed that her cat had gone crazy and wouldn't let her into her trailer. When we arrived, she was sitting in a lawn chair in her drive way. Long story short - it wasn't the cat that had gone crazy! She told us where to look in the trailer to see the cat (which she believed was rabid based on her internet research) and as we were looking in the window, she's behind us hysterically yelling "Oh, God. Please be careful, Officers". The cat was curled up asleep on her bed! There wasn't anything we could do for her because she didn't want us to go inside (the cat was too dangerous), so she decided to just sit back down in her lawn chair and light up a cigarette. The deputy just didn't know what to call in over the radio, so he called dispatch on the phone instead. Closing line - The cat will be maintaining control of the residence for the night. |

| Posted about 2 years ago Even though this discussion is 3 years old, it contains classics. Here's one from TheSarge's journal. As a patrol sergeant out and about in my marked unit, I heard this radio call (paraphrased due to it being many years ago): "All units, BOL for a WFA, naked with breasts exposed, long wavey blonde hair, running running through neighborhood." (and then location). Of course, I was enroute... as the on-duty supervisor. Additionally, every available unit was also enroute to 'generally' BOL the area. And you know when someone gets on the radio, says they will be enroute somewhere and you can hear the faint waaah-WAAAH in the background of the car being floored ? Thanks for the filtered description, Dispatch. Our female subject was located minutes after the call. Older crankster gal, nekked from the waist up, had a prior surgery to remove one breast, no teeth, hair was NOT wavey blonde and long. It was thin, dirty greyish and short. A female officer handled the subsequent discreet cover up with one of those disposible body blankets and transport to another location. All the other guys just blended back to work. So much for an accurate description. It was decided later that the caller provided exagerated info to get a faster response. Uh, it worked. |

| Posted about 2 years ago Ooookaaayyy...... I don't have anything against humor in the workplace but..... Please don't chuckle, giggle or laugh while answering a 911 phone call... The poor sap on the other end wouldn't understand. Trust me. Been there. I still don't know what was so funny about being 9 months pregnant, in labor, contractions lasting 60 secs and 4 minutes apart and not having any other way to the hospital. .... |
