Just checking to see if any investigators out there know of a free web site for doing reverse directory searches on telephone and cellular telephone numbers. All of the services that I have found require payment.

So far there are none that I know of that do it for celluar. In dispatch we usually have to call the cell phone companys but they only give us the information if is like a 911 emergency. I can't remeber the company but one will refuse to give out any customer information even if it is a 911 emergency. I explained to them I could hear a lady getting beat on the phone and needed the customer information. They still refused to give it. I told her if we did find her and she was seriously injured or dead we'd notify the family that they were uncopertaive. So far that is the only way that I know of to trace those numbers.

at whitepages.com you can do reverse phone and cell but they only give you the cell provider on cell searches
