Posted almost 6 years ago Okay I posted this in the news thread because I thought it was interesting, but because that part is down I’m posting it here as well. I’m curios as to what you all think about this. I think its kind of dangerous, but at the same time a great community policing effort. So what are your thoughts on this? Would you all like to see more of this? Do you think this would help with community policing issues? Or do you think it may interfere with what your jobs entitle? | Posted almost 6 years ago I equate the Guardian Angels to the Minutemen who show up on the southern border to "assist" the Border Patrol. We'd rather them stand back and just simply report what they see. Gladly the Minutemen do tend to stay out of the way and simply report. Last thing we need is to show up to a scene with a group of injured or dead Minutemen who attempted to arrest an illegal alien. | Posted almost 6 years ago Henry, you make that sound bad. Maybe a little vigilatism might help the populace deal with the violent crime that has gripped our beloved America. Stretching a few necks Wild West Texas style would open a few bad guy eyes, I'd bet. As much as we hate to admit it, policing is reactive. We can't be everywhere, and even if we were, the neon day-glo striping on the patrol cars makes playing sneaky sneaky on the bad guy difficult at best. Maybe if a few citizens took matters into their own hands, instead of playing ostrich and griping all the time, the bad guys would have a less target rich environment to operate in. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago I knew some Guardians while I was stationed in CA. They were some bad ass mofo's, they made great witnessess, because they handed the bad guy to the cops and said " Here he is, or at least, whats left of him". What have you done for someone you don't know lately? Held a door? Said thank you? Anything? Cops are dying for people they don't know almost daily. If you can't tell, my "ire" is getting raised. Are you up to it? |

| Posted almost 6 years ago It's been my experience that common sense isn't so common, Clover, but I get your drift. Let the sheep graze, you have the makings for a sheepdog. |
