St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17th. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over a thousand years.  On St. Patrick's Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon.  Lenten prohibitions against the consumption of meat were waved and people would dance, drink, and feast.

This is a day when you can get together with your family and friends and go out and have a good time.  I like to chow down on incredibly great traditional Irish meals such as Corned Beef and Cabbage and Shepherd's Pie with a traditional St. Patrick's Day beer like Guinness!

Everyone's Irish on St Patrick's Day. I lift my Guinness Draught to all, remembering the spirit of St Patrick.

An Irish toast to all : If you cheat, may you cheat death. If you steal, may you steal a woman's heart. If you fight, may you fight for a brother. If you drink, may you drink with me.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

"I'd rather be a failure at something I enjoy than be a success at something I hate." -- George Burns

"A pessimist complains about the wind, an optimist expects it to change and a leader adjusts the sails."
