So as I sit here in N.E. Montana in sub zero weather I am wondering where the heck is this global warming that is supposed to be going on. I sure could use some myself.

Let me know what all of your temps are this fine week. we had minus 25 below zero last night and now 3 above. feels like shirt sleeve weather.

A huge bump to that my brother. We have had about twenty inches of global warming in the past two weeks and down to -7 last night of global warming with a -25 wind chill of global warming. This is in Southern Missouri where this type global warming is NOT supposed to be happening.Does anybody know the brilliant Al Gore's number so I can call him?

I don't know schultzy but I am tired of winter and it is just getting started. YUCK

I would love for it to be in the 40s but you keep the rain.

I always wondered how you could get the Nobel prize for this when it is obviously not true. Oh that's right he is a politician. it got warmer when he spoke. LOL

as I sit here in NW Florida at 19 degress, I was wondering the same thing. Looks like we have nuclear winter though.

Hit 17 below zero yesterday here in Northwest Ohio. This morning when I left for work, it was 15 below. Looks like we might be warming up (lol).

Bill, 19 in Florida??? Guess you're not hitting the beach today, huh?

We're at 6 below currently, but wind chill takes it down to about 31 below. Forecasters are calling for warming temps by the weekend, with rain. And (of course), it will turn cold again early next week, freezing everything.

-9 yesterday morning when I went to work and all the way up to 3 when I got off, coldest in 2 decades.  Since Al Gore stands to make millions of dollars if he can get carbon credits (to prevent global warning) pushed through he has overstated glombal warming a lot.  Remember he predicted that the arctic would be ice free in 2013 though now he has changed it to 2019 or so.

Well, it won't be Florida. I heard at one point the temp was 15 degrees cooler in Florida than it was in Alaska

Across the US, many states have accumulated a lot of snow , with some areas experiencing record  low temps.

This affirms that climate change/Global Warming is just a conspiracy, or is it quite the contrary ?

Wait, hold on while I get my crayons.

DISCLAIMER:   I'm not well versed on this topic, but  I would like to fumble around with the conclusion that cold air & snow constitues that the Earths' Climate is cooling rather then heating, moreover, we have yet another  leftist 'conspiracy' on our hands.

So not to politize this anymore then it already is, I'll soften my reference to this topic, and refer to the issue as "Global Changes"  (GC).

Fair enough ?

(Some known Culprits that are attributed to GC)

Carbons released into the atmosphere: Long buried carbons are released by burning oil, natural gas, fuels and coal.

Chemical Pollution:  Contamination of our waterways, Oceans, Rivers, Lakes and ground water (EX. Oil Spills)

gulf of Mexico^

Greenhouse GasesMethane, Nitrous and Oxide are gases that traps heat in the atmosphere, and the levels of concentrations are hitting record highs.

Source: A study of 2012-2013 done by the World Meteorological Organization.

/

Chloroflurocarbon (CFC's)<---Ozone Destroyers

Rapid rural development, Causing a deforestization and fragmentation of natural habitats.

(Less forestry,  less carbon dioxide absortion)

^(photosymphasis)

(The level of greenhouse gases esssentially measures up with the amount of Glacier melt)

^(1990-2000-Retreat of San Rafeal Glacier, San Quitin Glacier show in the background)

Source: Wiki

Thawing Glaciers form floating Icebergs. Floating Icebergs can cause Polar Bears looking for food to get stranded, or drown.

Heat is absorbed or deflected by the glaciers.  The rate of evaporation of sea water is higher compared the snow formation. Hence, the size of Glaciers (Natural Water) have been reduced, resulting in an  increase in the sea level and changes the current air patterns. GC will be evidenced by a  spell of Weather anomalies, even snow, rain,  blizzards ect..

Hmmmm....

To be fair, a hotter then summer day, or an extreme cold spell, neither proves nor disproves "Global Change", but neither does a big oil company Mogul telling some talking head to go in front of a crowd and shout "Drill baby Drill" in her best cheerleading voice.

I'll stop there.

*I'll edit errors later, Stay warm and safe everyone.

Thinking out loud:  Snuggle blankets and Hand Warmers are going to fly off the shelf prior to the superbowl.

It's a whopping 10 degrees across the Hudson, I'm trying to decide which couch I'm going to set on fire.

Woke up to -1 in my neighborhood of the extreme northwest NJ yesterday morning. It was so cold the brakes on my pickup were "sluggish". As I write this, our temp has risen to a balmy 13 degrees.

Here in suburban Philadelphia, we hit a "brisk" (my mother's favorite term for when the wind was blowing just short of gale force and it was so cold your teeth were chattering like castenets) 1 degree yesterday. Today the tmeperature has climbed to a balmy 16. By the beginning of next week the forecast is for temperatures near 70. Global warming?????? Beats the daylights out of me!

Three words to describe the weather this week in Western New York: Relentless, Brutal and Bitter. The blizzard will be remembered for the amount of snow that covered the area, strong winds and sub-zero cold that forced every school and nearly every business to close.

Cold drops. As the polar cap warms up and the Arctic meltdown continues, the pressure system normally contained in that region drops into southern latitudes.  Arctic air masses are driven into regions not accustomed to experiencing them so severely or even at all.  It's a see-saw, oscillating effect.

Mother Nature is just getting started.
