Want to? Would I? I guess the question that is missing is "Need to?"

1) Want to: I may want to taze a lot of people.  That doesn't mean that I would or for that matter, that I would be legally justifued if I did.

2) Would I: The department I work for does not issue or allow personally owned tasers to be used by its officers so it's a mute point

3)  Need to: While I may want to (in my own mind) tase a suspect, the issue becomes more a matter of NEED TO and would I be legally justified in doing so before I would (that is provided I were issued a taser).

As posted, the topic is EXTREMELY vague.  Maybe the O/P could provide a scenario that we might be able to address the want, would and need and the legal issues and ramifications of deploying said taser device.

Hmmmm.Guess will never know the answer to the question the O.P. didn't submit.Let's just taze him, then buy him a beer and hope he doesn't turn us over to Internal Security.

lets see,Chrissy is usually a female name. this is under family life.No shiny star by her name. are you asking is you should take you hubby's tazer and taze him? might not be the smartest thing you do that day. Are you asking is those of us with hubbys ever want to taze them? Not that we would admit on a public site.

Assuming her profile is correst, she is a single, non-certified employee at a dept, or agency.  Thus she might have unauthorized access to tasers and perhaps has a boyfriend who is a LEO there.  The 'why' remains a mistery.
