Looking for baton holster that flaps over and secures baton in place. Anyone know of any? I can't seem to locate any online.

I usually have good luck finding things at copquest.com and at galls.com. Haven't checked at bianchiusa.com yet. I know there are people here that have success at ebay.com. Good luck

You must be stuck in the 70's. Baton? Try ebay.

Try Don Hume leather, their website shows a model with a flap and brass snap.  Though I don't have that particular item, I do own several Don Hume holsters and they were of good quality and have held up well for 12+ years

Thanks everyone. All the ASP baton holsters I have found nothing to secure them in place but making it readily available leaving it wide open for someon to grab. I will into all your suggestions.

Consider getting a plastic ASP scabbard. Without a top.

Leather tends to relax over time and can bind on the handle when trying to get the ASP out of it's scabbard. A solid plastic one stays consistent on the draw.

There are also hard plastic ones that have an slit opening on the side that allow for simply drawing your ASP 'sideways': A Slide Sidebreak Scabbard.

Also consider this: If it is hard for a suspect to get your ASP, it will also be kinda hard for you to get at it yourself. Know your department policy about use of force. If someone goes for your baton, does your policy address this as a deadly force incident? I don't know. Only you know the answer. Generally however, if someone goes for your baton, they are opening a whole can of worms that usually ends with a trip to the jail, ... by way of the hospital.

When doing your own research, look under 'ASP Scabbard'. The industry refers to them as 'scabbards', not a holsters. Also, check YouTube for manufacturers demos on their own products.

Thanks Sarge. I am fairly new to LE, I work full-time in Air National Guard Security Forces at my base and don't have a very good way of carrying it right now.

Yeah I agree with TheSarge on this one. There is a bit of resistance built into the Plastic Asp baton holder. If someone is going for it they will need to know how to pull it and how much force is necessary in order for you to not have the proper reaction time. Also you need to escalate your use of force appropriately as at that point it could become a deadly force issue depending on your SOP.

If you go to ebay and type in 'monadnock baton holder' it will pull up several dozen items, I use one of these the polycarbonate top draw type.  As ajsdaddyBPD says, they are good for securing your baton and hold it well, but are not difficult to use.
