Holy crap....sorry to hear about that UncleDennis!! Loose gravel is the devil on a bike; nearly wrecked mine last year because of that. Get well soon sir, and don't rush the recovery!

And remember..... No eating of Butter Brickle Ice Cream and riding.

Don't be embarrassed, UD, you are in good company.  In fact, I'm thinking of opening a confession thread called "Injuries You are Too Embarrassed to Say How You Got!"

Prayers up for you to knit fast and perfecto, mah main man Den!

Keep us POSTED!!

BTW, Skoolcop's hit on it, this thing's sooo BATMANNISH!!

Aim at the high mark and you will hit it. No, not the first time, not the second time and maybe not the third. But keep on aiming and keep on shooting for only practice will make you perfect. Finally you'll hit the bull's-eye of success.

Glad to hear that you're on the road to recovery UnkaD.  I have learned myself that loose gravel can do you in.  Rest up, enjoy the butter brickle and continue to get better. :)

Geez Shetland, i am soooo sorry to hear of your misfortune. Hope your followup surgery and continued healing goes well. As you can see and know, you are loved and deeply appreciated here on policelink and all of us are praying for your complete and swift recovery.  With all that down time, i am sure you will  be able to come up with something constructive to do. Maybe chapter one of "FAMOUS BUTTERBRICKLE RECIPES'.

No, no,....this is unapologetically the wrong bike to own. I see them frequently. It's a 'look-at-me' bike with appeal to a handful of, uh, people. If you want people to look at you, get a long mohawk and spackle it straight up. It's safer.

Now, Dennis, we all do hope you have some help during your recoop time. Cigars are nasty so putting those aside was a good decision.

I don't know if this was asked but what kind of motorcycle/scoot were you riding? Since you were not 'totaled', I am assuming the bike wasn't either, eh ?

5 miles per hour huh? Maybe you should have a bone density test done Shetland. Unless you just are not coordinated, I would think that a few bumps and bruises would be all you had. Heal quickly my friend.

lol you cops slay me.

By now, UnkaDen has probably under-gone his second round of going under the knife and is snoozing in the Recovery Room.  I am certain his leg is beautifully aligned for maximum healing and all the tissues are clean and beautifully sutured for a speedy knit.

uncledennis made sure we know he is paying for assistance, but I'm certain he will have to press payment upon his kindly friend.  For surely this friend is among several who would attend UD's needs just for his charming company.

Especially since he has set aside his box of boat ropes.
