I love this word.  Do you have a favorite archaic, odd or funny sounding  word?

Disgruntled--I know the meaning according to the dictionary. So one would almost have to assume this is the act of not being gruntled, which is NOT a word.Or,would that be ungruntled, which is also not a word?

For law enforcement my all time fave is: Fungible. There are others... when I can remember them.

Also, skullduggery, chicanery and tomfoolery. All these deal with guys (and gals!) up to no good.

While were on the subject of words, has anyone noticed the frequency of the use of the word 'actually' lately? Seems that it is used a lot in this kind of context: "I actually did get to the store today to buy the stuff we needed." I heard a sports broadcaster use it three times in 5 minutes worth of talking. "I actually went to Augusta to play a round of golf."

Now, is this word being used similarly as when people say, "...to tell you the truth..."? It appears that is also be used quite heavily lately. What, otherwise, you are not telling the truth?

And don't get me started with 'know what I mean' or 'ya know?'.

Check out the PoliceLink.com Facebook page. It was established in 2008.

I've always liked the term "flim flam man" and, even better, "flim-flammery."
