Best thing to do is just look into different agencies around you.  I do know G4S (wackenhut) sometimes does them.

g4s and geo group are 2 of the biggest privatized agencies in the country   i have my application in with geo group for a position as an ICE detention officer.  pay varies by location but from what i have found isnt too bad.

I would think for a nuclear plant, you would need special training and special clearance certificates.

They guy who does SG work at Walmart might not 'qualify' for a federal plant like San Onofre.

I have an old teamate that does Nuke Security now, Sarge. And at least where he works the standard is pretty high. He was a US Marine in a F.A.S.T. company for a number of years and then a federal police officer. I know a lot of the guys he works with were mostly all former military and LE, lots of Tier 1 guys too. Also, his clearance is very high. I know he left the USMC with a TS and he had to get that upgraded quite a bit. I think it is a "Q" that they have to have???

I definitely agree with the Sarge on this one. I dont think this is the kinda job you walk into off the street or while your trying to finish up your CJ degree.
