What career choices would you have made if you did not become a Leo?   Did you think of another profession before you became a Leo?   What else would you have chosen if you did not become a Leo?

I worked as a life guard at a car wash. Actually I would like to be the person that flips the letters on Wheel of Fortune.

navy_cop. At one time I wanted to be a jumper in the Toyota commercials or the guy on the Verizon commercials that say " Can you hear me now "    The life guard at the car wash was a good job however, I constantly had to replace my shoes.

1. Kitten wrangler would have been my other choice.

2. Yes, I did.  But I was to young to be POTUS.

3. See my first answer.  One and two are the same question worded differently.

Annnnnnnnnd, drum roll please... to answer your topic title question (should have been one of your questions, right?):

Don't think you have the correct figure for that letter flipper job. . . . .

I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I expect the same from them.

navy_cop, if you want to learn your porn name, here's the formula:

  1. Your first name is the name of your first pet.

  2. Your last name is your mother's maiden name.

(I'm sorry about the second part if it offends anyone.  It's just how it is.)

For your author's name, btw, if you need one:

  1. Your middle name.

  2. The first street you ever lived on.

I use to do face & body make up on female porn stars. After a few hours under the hot lights it would all have to be re-done. The sexual harrasment was brutal, they would keep asking me out and and slapping me on the butt. I finally had enough and became a LEO.

I just want to be a LEO.  Spent almost 8 years in the veterinary field.  Worked my way up, then one day on the way to work I thought to myself "I should have been a cop..." *shakes head. Then I though "Well why the h*ll not?"  That was over a year ago.  I screwed up a little bit about the time I was 18.  Was fired a few times, had several tickets, arrested once for driving without a licencse (taken due to nonpayment of one of the afore mentioned tickets), pawned an old junk revolver that did not belong to me, took some college courses but did not are to skip class and ignore assignments/exams, went into debt and ruined my credit score, and moste recently lost my job of 6 years. *shakes head again.  I guess the good is that I'm out of debt except for my car and student loans and my credit is going up, have not had a ticket in 5 years, and am just a few credits short of my degree.  I don't want to be anything but a LEO.

I thought the Sarge wanted a pony. When did he get into Harleys?I would love to have a girls Schwinn bike so I don't hurt my? myself if I slip off the seat.To the point,I always wanted to be a Police Officer or Minister.Did both.Never had regrets about either.

You are correct. A pony has always been the goal. Small, pink and with a bow. I don't suppose I could throw a saddle on it but a pony nonetheless.

If you think about it, I am vicariously living out the pony experience less the road apples. My scoot puts out enough 'ponies' to do just fine. Feed is a bit pricey these days, but it sits quietly in the garage and always starts on the first push of the button. Black, a little gold, leather 'saddle'. Not pink but I'm not sure I would ride a pink Harley on a bet.

I think I have had my pony(s) all along and didn't even know it.

I have never regretted not being a police officer because I am quite satisfied to be a Botticelli Angel.

Never did want to be a LEO, so support is my role.

As a civilian I can only support Sarge's No Regrets outlook on the more funner aspects of the job. And talking of epic ponies, I would JUMP for a ride-along with the tail gunner, but the Indian's a one-seater!

"What makes you regret being a leo?" and "What career choices you would have made if you did not become a Leo?" are two very different questions.

In my past life, I have been in retail support and sales, a locksmith and a process server.  In high school, I got interested in and took ROP classes that qualified me to paint cars.  I can do many things...... I ALWAYS wanted to be a police officer, sheriff's deputy or CHP officer.  It didn't matter to me which.  It took a while and I had my share of obstacles that proceeded it but I accomplished it and I have absolutely no regrets.  I could jump right back into any one of those other things if I had an injury that ended my LEO career.  BTW:  Where I work, I would make more as the district locksmith than I currently make with 13 years on as a police officer.  So why not do that instead?  It's not what I want at this point of my life.

I didn't know I wanted to be a LEO until I took the written test. Have no regrets. (Or is it "had" since I'm retired?)
