Hi everyone, I'm having problems with my earpeice (I use the one pictured below).  It's constantly popping out of my ear or becoming loose to where it barely even in my ear. I've tried cleaning it because after a few hours of the shift it will become kind of oily? That doesn't help. I'm not sure if its too small? I bought the one I have now which is smaller than the one I had before (which also never stayed in my ear!) Thanks in advance.

Is is possible you have the earpiece in backwards? We see that with some of our new guys sometimes. Be sure the longer protrusion is facing the ear canal, not plugged into the tube. Double check that you are using a right side/left side earpiece in the appropriate ear as well. Other than that, these things are pretty simple. I've worn this same one for several years without an issue. If it still is causing you problems try switching to the foam "plug" they include in the packaging instead of the earpiece. Some of our guys prefer the plug and it stays in place better for them.

Odd first post. Try Crazy Glue. What did co workers advise when you axed them? How long in the position?

Why is that an odd first post?

Does it come with detachable pieces on different sizes?  I know a lot of ear pieces I've bought for a phone of radio came with multiple earbuds (unless they were the dollar store generics).

uncledennis, good point.  And wouldn't it be easier during a ride a long for the officer to hold it in?

How long have you been in this position and did you axe co workers regarding this problem. I am soooooooooo curious. I still think glue is the correct answer.

I've been in this postition for a while. I wouldn't want to "axe" or ask my co-workers because they all enjoy messing with me just like all you people are. :)

This looks very similar to the one I had (Mine was from RocketScience). On the clear cord, the curved piece leading up to the earbud goes over the ear. I had to cut mine to make it a little shorter, and that worked great. You might also consider a bigger ear bud. It should fit snug, but not tight.

If that fails, I think Brighteyes' flesh tone duct tape would be ok (lol).

I had the same problem with a similar ear piece I was using. I bought it for bike patrol.

It worked fine for everything, except bike patrol. A couple minutes into the ride it would start coming loose.

Another cop that I ride with from a different agency has the same one and he has no problems with his staying in when we ride.

I really think certain people ears are just not made to except these things well.

Now unk dennis you know crazy glue on lasts for so long would be better to staple it or rivet it on.
