Hello everyone, I am just four months away from graduating with my BS at 20 years old. My plan is to get my pre-service POST certification sometime in the 5 months between my college graduation and when I turn 21 so I can start working sooner and hopefully have a better chance at getting hired at my department of choice. I know that I can't work until I'm 21, but can I get my pre-service POST certification? I already have the money saved up, but when I looked at Cobb's (the closest academy to my house) requirements for pre-service certification, it required that applicants be 21. Is this just Cobb or all POST academies in Georgia? It seems odd to me that you can be 20.5 if you're sponsored, but not if you're paying for it yourself.

Thank you all for your help!

If you want to be a cop one must be a thinker. Call and axe.
