Posted 2 months ago 3-17-13 Well, the Cactus League has a good game going on today (St. Patty's Day) with the S.F. Giants and the Colorago Rockies in Scottsdale, AZ. Tied up at 2-2 at the top of the 4th. Feel free to jump in and cuss-n-discuss through this season. Represent your team. It's gonna be a great season. And, yes, the Giants will be strong contenders for the Worlds Series again. Three-peat. Go S.F. Giants! |

| Posted 2 months ago Hey Sarge thanks for Baseball Season 2013. As a New England native I am and always will be a Red Sox fan. That said, I follow players as well. I have been a Scutaro fan since he was on the Sox. It was so cool when he got the MVP last fall. I would love to see the Giants and the Red Sox in the world series. I've been both to Fenway and Candlestick. Great baseball. |

| Posted 27 days ago I think our Kansas City Royals are first in their division. Getting ready to attend a few games even though football is my sport. |

| Posted 24 days ago My Birds are up and down. Right now our offense is struggling a bit; however, it's generally our bullpen that causes all of the problems. Thankfully Scrabble has been optioned to Memphis and Maness has been brought up. His ERA isn't the best (4.32) but it's better than Scrabble's current ERA (7.88). However, I am REALLY hoping that Bogged Down will be optioned because his current ERA is total rubbish (12.66). I would LOVE for Michael Wacha to be brought up from Memphis seeing as his ERA is only 1.86. I'm thrilled because Big City was cleared to start hitting from a tee yesterday after his oblique injury 4 days ago. He is the best power hitter I have seen in a long time and even with how few starts he gets, other teams have already begun to fear him because he is such a dangerous hitter. His AVG at the time of the strain was .543 and his OBP was .593. I expect big things from that kid. Another player I'd like to see brought up would be Patrick Wisdom; however, that won't happen since he is down in Class A. Even if he were up in AAA it'd be hard to place him because he plays 3rd and there is no way that Matheny or Mozeliak would agree to bench or move Freese. All in all it's a good season thus far, we're only ½ a game back in our division, so I'm okay with that. The doctor said I need to start drinking more whiskey. Also, I'm calling myself "the doctor" now. |

| Posted 24 days ago I'm jealous. I would love to be able to vist some, if not all, of our farm teams. Most of our system isn't that close to where I am though. Springfield is almost 4 hours away which had been the closest team until this year. We reaffiliated with Peoria (which had been with the Cubs since 2005) this season, that's 2½ hours away so I may make a couple trips up there this year. On the upside, Wisdom plays in Peoria & so I'd get to see him play. You are right about our farm system though - Molina and Pujols both got their start in Peoria.

| Posted 24 days ago I have been a Texas Rangers for a long time. Never thought I would ever see them in the World Series so when they did go, I was flying high even though they lost. |

| Posted 23 days ago I saw that. I track all of the teams every year and bought a subscription to MLB.tv Premium this year so I could keep better track of everything going on from spring training games to playoff games. I went to a Cards/Royals game at Busch last year, it was a fiasco. Cards won 10-7 but the game took almost 4 hours to get through. It was an interesting game because a triple play was reversed and Matheny argued the overturn until they threw him out all in the top half of the 1st inning. The first inning alone took an hour to get through, LOL. As for how it is going without Albert, everybody is thrilled to have Craig at 1st and it's always a blast when Craig gets to play OF so that Adams can play 1st. Albert isn't the first tool to say he wanted to make a lifelong career with the Cardinals and then walk away because they wouldn't give him an ungodly amount of money. Ray Lankford did that several years ago, exact same scenario except that he left with an attitude and ill will. He had some very nasty things to say about the Cardinals when just 4 years prior he was singing their praises for giving him a 4 year/16mil contract - it was at that press conference he said he would never play for another team and then 4 years later it turned ugly.
