Posted 3 months ago I work in an elementary school right now and I've been wanting to change jobs to become a police officer, but I just don't have the heart to leave the school. It's sad to me that a lot of the kids in school that I work with think that cops are the bad people when their job is to help and protect. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree with the kids. I had some officers come to visit some classes and the kids were asking them some questions. One question that stuck with me was are parents able to scold and spank their kids and when they got the answer there was a lot of jaw dropping and "WHAT that wrong!" well I have to get going my my class is leaving. ** I am also on facebook. Look me up. |

My interpretation: One of the questions the children asked the officer is "Can my parents spank me?" When the officer told them that yes, parents can use appropriate corporal punishment to administer discipline, the kids' jaws dropped and they stated "What? That's wrong!" 2/20/2013 |

| Posted 3 months ago I think she was trying to say that the officer gave the kids an unexpected answer (yes, parents ARE able to scold and spank their kids) and the kids were a bit flabbergasted and made the 'comment look" "WHAT? DAT'S JUST WRONG!". Then again, I've been mistaken before. . . . . |
