we are a small agency and are looking to purchase some in car laptops and  printers for doing e tickets. we are on a limited budget. can anyone suggest where to bbuy laptops and printers. I am wanting the thermal imaging printers. do not think that we need  the rugged computers.. just ones that have like 4 gigs of ram..

Apply for a  public safety grant thru your state. While chief I received a free truck and many things for the asking. Some items may reqire matching funds.

we have  recieved a small agency grant from the state. that is how I plan on paying for this. just trying to get the best bang for the buck.

You may want to check out the resource below.  As I recall, they test a variety of technologies and then publish an evaluation...that way you don't buy or invest in junk.
