If you're a supporter of the Constitution, this 2nd Amendment badge will be a nice addition to your collection! This badge is a 3" antique gold finish multi-layer badge with 3D detail and a nice heavy weight and feel. The attachment is a pin and safety clasp on the back. This badge is police issue quality and would be a great way to support the 2nd Amendment. Badges will retail for $50 in March when they arrive. Right now they are being pre-sold at 50% off so pick up one today! If you buy two, you get free shipping! $50 badge for $25 until the beginning of March 2013!

You can buy them at this link:  http://graywaterops.com/gray-water-ops-online-store/?slug=product_info.php&products_id=35

Almost looks like a real badge, hope nobody would try to play it off as real.

It is a real badge. Just no legal authority behind it. It's a commemorative badge meant to be collected and displayed.

I am confused then, is it a badge or a coin?

OOPS! sorry it's a 3" badge. We also mint coins so I was writing about a badge but thinking about a coin!

Thanks. I just finished 2 memorial coins for the California Highway Patrol for two fallen officers. Here are the images from that coin!

And this one is currently being minted:

 Mike,

I joined this forum because of the badge collectors. If you look at the previous post someone else commented on our coins. Law Enforcement related. We don't sell these coins. We minted them for California Highway Patrol. I was only sharing because it's a law enforcement topic website. I was a cop for 8 years and an instructor at the Northeast Counterdrug Training Center for almost 14 years. Great welcome wagon you have here though. Really know how to make new people feel welcome.

SORRY BRO,

WELCOME ABOARD. YOU GUYS HAVE SOME NICE LOOKING STUFF. I DID SOME TRAINING AWHILE BACK AT PAANG/FIG. IT WAS GOOD TRAINING, WISH WE HAD SOMETHING LIKE THAT HERE IN SAN ANTONIO.

 Nice TreeHugger. Thanks.

Were you at NCTC? I was one of the instructors in the photo night surveillance course and assisted with interview & interrogation courses as well as Identifying deceptive behavior.

I also went to police week in DC three years in a row with a commemorative coin that we minted. We donated some of that money to the National LEO memorial. We were also the people behind the first 9/11 coin. 100% of the proceeds were donated to the disaster relief fund. We raised $80,500 from the sale of a special coin.

We look for ways to help non profit organizations raise money through no cost coin fundraising programs. Most of our business is through referrals.

Personally I am opposed with civilians possessing anything that resembles a badge. I was at a night club some time ago and a guy was flashing a badge around. I engaged him in some small talk and come to find out it was a CCW badge and looked like a police badge. I told him the smartest thing he could do is lose the badge. He was trying to impress the ladies. It did not set well with me.

BUMP! Since I am not a cop I just really did not want to come out and say it so I just waited and let the pros say it....

THERE ARE TONS OF PEOPLE THAT COLLECT BADGES JUST LIKE PEOPLE COLLECT PATCHES.

SAYING, "BANNING REPLICA BADGES WILL STOP POLICE IMPERSONATION" IS LIKE SAYING BANNING GUNS WILL STOP GUN VIOLENCE.

CHILL OUT PEOPLE, IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN TO POLICE WEEK OR ANY OTHER LARGE LEO GATHERING YOU WOULD KNOW THAT THE SALE AND COLLECTION OF REPLICA BADGES IS A VERY POPULAR HOBBY FOR A LOT OF ACTIVE AND RETIRED COPS.

AND ANYONE THAT LOOKS AT THIS "COMMERATIVE" BADGE AND CAN NOT TELL IMMEDIATELY IT IS IN NO WAY AN LEO BADGE DOES/DID NOT DESERVE TO BE A COP IN THE FIRST PLACE.

AND YES GRAYWATER OPS YOU ARE RIGHT, THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE, COPS INCLUDED ON HERE THAT HAVE SOME BULLY ISSUES. THIS SOCIAL MEDIA SITE IS THEIR PERSONAL LITTLE DOMAIN WHERE THE MORE STARS YOU HAVE NEXT TO YOUR NAME THE MORE BADA$$ YOU ARE.

IF YOU REALLY WERE A COP AND INSTRUCTOR AT NCTC THAN WELCOME ABOARD BROTHER. NCTC PROVIDES GREAT, NEAR FREE TRAINING TO COPS IN THE NORHTEAST AREA AND IMO HAS NO DOUBT SAVED LIVES!!!

Not that having an actual coin FROM NCTC is proof of my employment there..... but here is an image of my NCTC coin.  If you guys on police link are like this to other cops, I hate to see how you treat civilians! Enjoy your closed little group of inner circle friends and have your control over this digital domain if that makes you happy. I don't have time for the drama. Life is short.

To TreeHugger and anyone else who WASN'T a d|ck to me, thanks.  To the people who acted like a d|ck to me, you should really re-evaluate your priorities and get out from behind the screen a bit. You don't even know me or know anything about me yet you are quick to hide behind your screens and stir the pot. Being ignorantly biased for your own little reasons isn't helping others or doing anything positive.

Uncle Dennis I feel sorry for you Sir. You must be a miserable person inside. I wish you peace and happiness and hope you work through whatever trouble you're dealing with that's making you so bitter.  Treehugger if you want to connect with me on LINKEDin you can find me here http://linkedin.com/in/keithhanshaw

I'm not coming back here. ( NCTC provided free meals, lodging and training for local, state and federal officers while I was there) I worked the PA counterdrug program from 1991 - 2003 when I retired and started making coins.

I'm looking at this from both sides of the coin (no pun intended).

Personally, I do not see a major issue with selling these type replicas. Granted is does strongly resemble a US Marshal Badge

I've been to shows and displays where Badge Replicas are sold by the hundreds, and some look about as authentic as you can get.

I think (for now), I'll let this thread continue.

THANKS 36TR,

BUT I AM AFRAIDTHAT THE OP WILL NOT BE BACK.

IF HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS, CERTAIN MEMBERS MANAGED TO INSULT AND CHASE AWAY A FELLOW BLUE BROTHER AND A MEMBER OF A RESPECTED INSTRUCTOR CADRE.

THIS ACTUALLY BOTHERS ME. AT A TIME WHEN WE (LEOS) ARE BEING HUNTED LIKE ANIMALS AND BETRAYED BY OUR OWN KIND WE NEED TO MAKE THE TBL AS TIGHT AND AS STRONG AS IT EVER HAS BEEN.

@ UNCLE DENNIS: I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED UR INPUT AND RESPECT YOUR EXTREME DEDICATION TO THE FIELD OF LAW ENFORCEMENT BUT THIS TIME I THINK YOU WERE WAY OUT OF LINE.

FROM LOOKING AT A LOT OF YOUR RECENT POSTS IT APPEARS THAT YOU HAVE JUMPED ON THE "BULLY BANDWAGON" AND OUR USING THIS SITE AS A MEANS TO "PASS THE TIME" INSTEAD OF NETWORKING WITH OTHER POLICE OFFICERS.

I agree with TH719, but would also like to say that you cannot judge the whole based on the (albeit vocal) few.

Also--welcome to the OP.

I took a look-see at the Gray Water Ops website. It appears well established, legitimate and legal. And the original post was created in an appropriate forum.

I concur with 36TR.

I am ok with this discussion to remain.

Thanks.
