Posted 3 months ago Greetings PoliceLink members, I am a new member to the website and simply would like make my introductions. I am currently stationed overseas, on active duty for the US military and will be completing my time in service in about 2 years. Have always wanted a career in law enforcement, majored in criminal justice, and can't wait to get back to the states. I'm sure I'll be bugging a few of you highly qualified individuals the closer I get to my discharge date. Hope all is well, where ever you all may reside. -Erik |

Is it that bad out there for LEO jobs? Or is it simply, that law enforcement agencies are just tightening their shot group as far as who to hire and not to hire? I know, currently in the Army we've been attempting to cut our numbers like crazy, but I think it has been long overdue; I was a board member for two administrative seperation boards last week where we kicked finally kicked Soldiers out of the Army that should have been out three or four offenses ago. I'm sure that's not the issue with LEO jobs though, more of the current economic situation probably. |
