Hey how is everybody doing? I'm new to this post , let me give a little introduction. Well I'm a police officer in Georgia and I like my job. I'm a retired military police of 20 years from the navy. Thats just a little introduction about myself. I really have a question to ask, I'm very interested in becomeing a Georgia State Trooper but I don't know much about them. I have herd some good things so far, now the reason why I didn't choose to go state trooper at first is because of my age, I'm 48 yrs old and I thought I was a little to old to become a state trooper so I joined another department. I'm not really happy with the department that I'm with and every day I tell myself that I wish I wpould have joined the troopers. Could any one tell me what it's like being a trooper in Georgia? I really do want to become a Georgia trooper.

welcome to PL from the midwest.  You would normally post  an introduction in the Introduction forum and them post your question separately.

google is your friend, go the Georgia Highway Patrol webpage and look around, there are application forms you will need to download.  The disqualifiers section says nothing about age but the best thing to do, with kudo's to Uncledennis1 is:

"Call and axe"  They can tell you about any age requirements.

Why not call and axe someone within the agency? As Cedardale suggested check Google. Google is your friend.

I will do that, I just really wanted to know if anyone on this site was with GSP, if so how is it working for them? They seemed to be pretty square away.

oneaccord4. As new as you are and with a skeleton profile responses from those with the agency may be minimal. We are a suspicious bunch. Take some time and let us get to know you.
