When i was 17, i made a bad choice that almost got me killed. I got in an argument with my boyfriend, got out of his car in a strange neighborhood, and running with my thumb out, hopped in the first car that stopped. As soon as I got in, I panicked, I couldnt get out (he had no inside door handles/locks) and it was dark, He grabbed meby my hair and held my head down while he speeded away, I fought, kicked, tried to grab the wheel and boom, door swung open as he turned corner, I flew out, (thank God) and rolled hitting my head on cement, I remember looking up to see that he had pulled into a huge park, no lights, there was no one, nothing, i heard his tires backing up to get me, RUN, Debbie, Run, I could hear him  behind me, Dont look back just Run. I headed toward the closest

streetlight, there was a small gas station, and the attendant saw me, blood everywhere, running towards him, he turned and locked himself in the back room, i banged on the window, Please help me! He was so close now and there was nowhere to go, i knew i was dead, then he turned the wheel and bam took off into the darkness, I looked up to see a black and white, and I KNEW I WAS SAFE, I knew that He would protect me, and make sure I got home.. to my mom alive.. That was my   ANGEL, my HERO, and I just wanted to thank every one of you, for your protection of us., your bravery, and for everytime you risk your live's for ours. No one dares to talk bad about the police in front of me, cause obviously, thier ignorance sits deep, and the truth stands tall!! Thankyou and be safe!!!

Curious: How long ago was this, was it ever investigated and if so, was he caught?

LOL I was thinking this same exact thing yesterday...

Have ASP will travel.

Justice is the one thing you should always find, you gotta saddle up your boys you gotta draw a hard line.

When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune and we'll all meet back at the local saloon.

And we'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing whiskey for my men beer for my horses.

Odd,I can't find this one on the Editor's friend list and I thought that was required. At any rate Debbie,if you recall,I was the officer who saved you and you're quite welcome.I generally scheduled two or three saves a week.

Im new to this and i dont understand what the editors friend list is, did i do something wrong?  I hope not.

And if your seriously THE Officer from that night than i owe you my life, And if your just fooling with me, thats ok too. Because wheather it be you, or not im so thankful. I was told that they believed this guy to be a serial rapist, and that i was a lucky to be safe. I gave them all my information, and agreed to testify when they get him , but thats about the end of it. I was never asked to. But again I will NEVER forget that night, and have never hitchhiked again. I  triy to say thankyou everytime ive seen a police officer since, but usually they are busy and i didnt want to interrupt while their involved in something. So i heard about this site and figured this would be a great way to thank all of you, while your not on the job. So THANKYOU..Sincerely, Debbie

Debbie, we get a lot of trolls on this site (troll- someone trying to stir up trouble, usually with some sort of false claim), and so tend to be sceptical of posts from new members.  You also might want to post an introduction in the Introduction forum, not about this incident but telling us a little about who you are  and similar information.

Im so sorry, I didn't even think about that. I never meant to upset anyone. Im just like that as i wear my heart on my sleeve, i should of thought  before i wrote, or maybe read it after.  I am not a tyroll. I am a woman civilian. And i guess i didnt consider the fact that my few minutes of terror, each of you see everyday, and can understand why you must be cautious,  im so embarrased,

its not that people here are callous and youll have to forgive my lack of puntuaution and caps due to me typing this on my phone.  its that alot of the times people come on here and ask questions or make statements that are meant to annoy officers.  so we get a little leary when someone comes in with a story thats a little how do you say sensational.  and your story is lets face it a little ecentric.  im not saying that your lying and things like that do happen its just a little weird on a website because it kind of comes out of left field if you know what i mean.  so im glad you ended up ok and that there was a cop there to help you.  enjoy the site.
