Posted 4 months ago (WMC-TV) - A Memphis man is accused of pulling over a police officer while pretending to be a man of the law.Tony Newsom is under arrest after police say he pulled over a car on Elvis Presley Boulevard Saturday morning using a smartphone and an app that flashes lights and sounds off like a police siren. The driver of the car he reportedly pulled over happens to be an off-duty Memphis police officer, who still happened to be in his uniform.Police say Newsom even had a Memphis Police Department badge, an officer sticker, empty gun holster, 17 rounds of ammunition, and a sex toy inside his car.Despite everything found inside the car, according to police, the criminal charges stem from using his smartphone to impersonate an officer. Newsom posted a $250 bond. He is charged with criminal impersonation, illegal use of flashing blue light on motor vehicle, improper display of registration, and violation of the light law.

| Posted 4 months ago There's been a rash of the knuckleheads out there lately. Another reason to stay armed off duty... Have ASP will travel. Justice is the one thing you should always find, you gotta saddle up your boys you gotta draw a hard line. When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune and we'll all meet back at the local saloon. And we'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing whiskey for my men beer for my horses. |

| Posted 4 months ago Low bonds are a losing battle with our liberal judges. One is a former defense attorney that still acts like one on the bench. Second time offender released ROR with a GPS for armed robbery. I was mad. Our judges say everyone deserves a bond. I started going to the ADA before court every morning and giving a bond recomendation. The lowest I request is $100,000, one waiting to go back to Cali for 5 counts of bank robbery is sitting on a $5 million bond. The public defenders hate to see me walk in court. That's why crime in our county is so high, repete offenders are released to go commit more crimes while waiting on their court date. One defense attorney complained about my high bonds, I told him if I was the judge a gallows would be errected in the rear of my court. Somehow he didn't see the sarcasm in that.
This was not my arrest, it was in the local paper. All my court cases are Fugitive From Justice. |

| Posted 4 months ago I'd have to say that my biggest question/concern in this is, what was the sex toy for? This would be where the off duty officer thinks "Please let that just have been an item that the moron accidentally left in the car". |

| Posted 4 months ago Bump TNDEPUTY. Police impersonators should be considered armed and dangerous. When robes set bail they are supposed to take into account the charges, employment, financial resources, and family ties.

| Posted 4 months ago $250.00 is light to be sure, but If convicted how will he ever hold his head up again? That mug shot says everything that will echo in the guy's brain chamber...forever. "Oh yeah, aren't you that WEIRDO who got caught with a siren-blaster on his cel phone, a phoney badge, 17 rounds of ammo, an empty holster and a... SEX TOY??!! On ELVIS PRESLEY BOULEVARD??!!!"

| Posted 4 months ago ROUND 2 BURLINGTON — Deputies say a 19-year-old Walton man had been beaten and strangled before being cut up with a machete and possibly a saw. After their arrest Tuesday, the three men accused of killing Delfin told detectives they were trying to rid the world of evil. |

My guess is they failed... misreably... Have ASP will travel. Justice is the one thing you should always find, you gotta saddle up your boys you gotta draw a hard line. Well, hopefully the bond court restrictions included a full mental health evaluation by hospital psychiatrist..
