Posted 5 months ago I've been tasked with researching the cost of changing our K-9 uniform from black 5.11 tactical uniforms, black tac vest, as well as, black webgear to an OD green tactical uniform, vest and green webgear. This is to include the holster for a Glock 21 w/light. Looking for some feed back and company suggestions. The argument that I brought to the table was the lack of tactical advantage black brings. |

| Posted 5 months ago LA County Sheriffs SEB unit wears a green tactical uniform, as does the FBI's tactical unit. Try contacting them for suggestions |

| Posted 5 months ago Our current uniforms are black. Most of our calls are tracking related. Black is not a natural color in natural. Our snipers have noted how we stand out while in the field. |

| Posted 5 months ago Why green? If you feel too conspicious in black, why not one of the cameo patterns, 5.11 had green and at least 2 different cameo patterns as well for much of their pants and shirts. I would think you would want a marpat or if you are in cities maybe a acu cameo pattern. |

| Posted 4 months ago ATACS-FG is the camo we use when deployed to a scene. Green would be the on-duty uniform. The 5.11 tactical would most likely be the uniform chosen. Now the issue is webgear. |
