Posted 4 months ago Hi, my name is Sherry and I just joined today. I know almost nothing about guns but just bought one for home security. I am trying to learn by reading all the posts and I will have many questions. While I have always been interested in guns, I've never owned one or even shot one. I am amazed at all the gun enthusiasts out there. It's a whole different world and entirely new language. Looking forward to this new experience and connecting with others who will share their input and advice with me. I want to be a responsible gun owner and a proficient one too. Thanks, |

| Posted 4 months ago You will only learn gun safety and proper method of shooting with a professional instructor. Hands on and not by reading comments on this forum. Once again professional instructor and not your uncle Bob or Steve from the service station. Welcome to the site. Some nice folks are here. |

| Posted 4 months ago Welcome to Police Link. I have to agree with Uncledennis1, get proper traing from a certified instructor. If you start off with bad habits it will be harder to get it right later down the road. I# Rule is SAFETY! |

Yes, I know I need to get the best advice from a professional and I am scheduled to attend a class. But the feedback here is also valuable...not a substitute for the class but valuable nevertheless. Personal prespectives of others who have vast experience are enlightening. I appreciate all of you. |
