Super Bowl 47 will be played in the New Orleans Mercedez-Benz Superdome, Sunday, February 3rd, 3:30 pm Pacific.

For today:

San Francisco 49ers are faced off against the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome, Atlanta, for the NFC Championship. Kickoff - 12 noon Pacific (6:30 pm Eastern)

New England Patriots vs. Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA., for the AFC Championship.. Gametime - 12 noon Pacific (6:30 pm Eastern).

Whose it gonna be?

The 49ers are gonna be one team. NFC will be considered the home team for the Super Bowl due to an odd year. Even year, the home team is AFC.

Now THIS will be the Super Bowl.

Its gonna be a rumble in the Big Easy, the playoffs have been great over the past few weeks, really looking forward to the Superbowl (even though my GIANTS didn't make the cut). Congrats to the 49ers and the Ravens, and best of luck to both teams!

This Super Bowl will be one to remember.  49ers versus the Ravens.....Harbaugh versus Harbaugh.  Should be a good game, although I'm pretty sure that Jim will be the winning Harbaugh.  With that being said....Go NINERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta say that the wife and I went to the playoff game. Candlestick full of drunks and idiots. It was a great game however. I am liking watching from my Sky Box (... my home!).

though i am not really a professional sports fan, have not been for years due to the outrageous salaries and doping, conduct, fights etc, i wonder which city, san fran or baltimore will have its downtown area destroyed due to rioting by overzealous, immature fans who did nothing but purchase a ticket or just sit in a bar and drink the game away while they chant WE WON?

Good question. I have an answer for you.

I cannot speak on behalf of Baltimore. I can speak from a S.F. point of view. And since the Niners will win, this is how it will go.

Downtown Civic Center, across from S.F. City Hall will set up a large screen projection TV and about 10,000+ people will stand shoulder to shoulder and watch the Super Bowl from beginning to end. They did this for the World Series where the S.F. Giants won. They cheered and hooped it up pretty good. Not a single arrest. Not a single incident of vandalism or other criminal chicanery. On the heels of that was the parade to honor the Giants. It went up Market Street (right in front of PoliceLink Headquarters!) to City Hall. 1.3 million people in attendance. Not a single arrest. Not a single incident of public fighting or vandalism. Weed created a low cloud over then entire event but that was it.

I suspect there will be a duplicate model for the Niners. Believe it or not, the huge celebrations are just that in San Francisco: A huge celebration and not an excuse for stupidity. Quite amazing actually.

San Francisco is weird in many respects as everyone knows. But when it comes to sports, the fans keep it real.

Well, my Niners lost. And the Ravens won. It was close but the Ravens definitely had the game.

Congratulations to all you Ravens fans. Enjoy your Super Bowl trophy and the parade.

I already hung up my personally signed Montana jersey and donned a Giants baseball cap. At least THEY brought home a World Series.
