| Posted 6 months ago 12-14-12. 1 pm BUMP GreyPanther, so tragic. Unfortunately this will be blamed on the firearms, not the shooter, I suspect. 12/14/2012 1440 hrs. CST |

| Posted 6 months ago 12/14/12 15:48 EST Unthinkable.... I"m so deeply saddened and I don't have any children. I do have many nieces and nephews. Just like all other Americans currently, I"m in mourning. My prayers going out to the families of the victims lost. Why a gunman would take out innocent lives, especially chidren, is beyond me. May the gunman rot in Hades!

| Posted 6 months ago 12/14/12 4:15 EST This is a national tragedy, but it's always even more personal when it happens in your own state. Thoughts and prayers go out to the families of this. My uncle is a police officer in nearby Fairfield, I haven't heard from him all day and I suspect he was called over to help. All killings are tragedies, but when children are involved it's even worse. |

| Posted 6 months ago 12-14-12 16:46 EST I can't even fathom the unexplicable pain these families must feel, as well as the Law Enforcement and First Repsponders that are involved in helping out and investigating this terrible event; prayers will be said for all. How do you move on after something like this happens to your family? How does the Officer or the Teacher or the child, who have witnessed such a crime, cope? I pray for them, that they maintain their strength. Such bravery from the Teachers who did a great job in staying calm to protect the children and keep them safe. For those who have passed away, may God take you in his hands now. Rest in Peace Such a sad day in America. "Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives." - Ronald Reagan

To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother's words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world." -- Fred Rogers Bessie Braddock: “Sir, you are drunk.” Churchill: “Madam, you are ugly. | Posted 6 months ago 12-14-12, 2 pm PST It is disapointing that the shooter was able to do so much tragedy. What one forgets is that Newtown Police Officers had chidren going to that school. Can you imagine having to respond knowing that your child is there? I`m glad that the shooter took his own life. We cannot blame guns as then only criminals and nuts like this will have guns. I have lived my life, know the I-84 area well, and when you go to bed tonight, say a prayer for the Deceased and the Officers that have to go to work everyday only to have to worry about having to respond to a tragedy like this. |

My heart breaks for the officers who responded to this tragedy, as well as the familes of those senselessly slain. I spoke to some who responded to the shooting at the Amish school in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and the horror they saw is beyond description. Any shooting is tragic; those involving children take the grief to a deeper level. |

| Posted 6 months ago 12-14-12 I am so sorry for everyone involved in this tragedy. I saw some of the faces of the kids leaving the school. It was horrific. It will be forever burned in my brain. Prayers for all the sweet angels and innocent people. I truly believe we need metal detectors and armed law enforcement at every school. We need to put our taxes to good use and protect our children. The world has truly come to just that. |

Bump, ALL! “The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post “Thou shalt not steal,” “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” and “Thou shalt not lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.” |

| Posted 6 months ago 12-14-12 Prayers to all victims and thier families, as well as to the first responders and law enforcement officials who are forced to process this awful crime. I'm sure many of these parents had already bought Christmas gifts for their kids. Instead of planning Christmas dinners, these people are now planning funerals.

12.13.2012 After hearing this news earlier today, it put a knot in my stomach. As a mom, I'm very upset and even nausiated over the loss of these 20 YOUNG CHILDREN, and 6 ADULTS! My heart aches for these families. Maybe it's become a time we critique MORE ways to prevent the mentally unstable from EASILY obtaining a weapon. Wouldn't a reasonable gun owner with a deranged son have her 3 weapons in a secure lock box????? I don't Understand ??
GOD BLESS THE BRAVE TEACHERS that saved lives, and the LEO's that are still tasked with viewing the bodies of the slain(10:30 am). But most of all the families of the victims will be in my thoughts and prayers.
What doesn't kill me had better start running! |

| Posted 6 months ago A tragedy of unbelievable proportion! Condolenes to the families of the deceased, I can only imagine the pain they are suffering not to mention that they will continue to suffer for weeks, months, years to come. Kudos to the teachers who implemented security procedures and probably saved the lives of other children. Kudos to all the LE that responded, quickly entered the Active Shooter Situation, secured the scene, and evacuated the others to a safe location. An unfortunate but perfect example why all LE needs to train and continue to practice Active Shooter Response regardless of size, type, or location of department or agency... Having the proper Attitude and Mental Preparation combined with proper Training gives you the tools needed to Think, Act, and Be Safe... |

| Posted 6 months ago How can one explain, describe, understand or believe this type of deranged evil. Thanks to the teachers on the scene. Most of us are parents, grandparents or even great grand parents. I cannot begin to fathom my children falling victim to this. They are our blessings, our little miracles from God.Comfort and condolences to all the parents who must feel so broken distraught and utterly hopeless tonight.Let us not just tell our children we love them but show it with our actions.Having lost two sons my experience tells me there is closure, but never forgetting. |

| Posted 6 months ago With everything we have been through in our lives, as children we never ever had to think, "A bad man might come into school and kill us today." This was a massacre of lives. This was a massacre of innocence. It's too much. It's all just too much. |
