Since the Mayan apocalypse people think 12/12/12 is also of significance, i think I'll put off part of my Christmas shopping until after 12/21/12 which is just 12/12/12 with the middle 2 digits reversed.  Actually any excuse to delay Christmas shopping is a good one in my book.
