Well I've got a busy couple of weeks coming up. I've already got my sponsor for the police academy and a part time job at one of our city PD's in the county lined up for when I graduate in June. I've got to go pick up my part-time/reserve academy application packet from the police station Wednesday and get everything filled out and get my physical next week. I'll also be signing up at another security company on the19th to get a little more security work to help out during my slow business season and until I start my law enforcement career. I don't have any doubts that I will succeed if it is Gods will, because I have the want to and the determination to do so, and I also know that the Bible says that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Stressful, yes, busy, yes, but enjoy it. You're on the cusp of acheiving a dream.

Good luck, Joe!

Thanks for the well wishes guys. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and plan on making the most of it and having a positive influence in my local community by serving and protecting as well as being the best possible role model that I can be for our younger generation. Too many times we see people in leadership roles (or in positions of authority) that don't take advantage of their opportunity to allow God to use them for "His" purpose while they lead or serve others. This failure to do so is what has led our Country down the dark path that we now find ourselves on, and we have gone so far down this road that it is going to take some mighty doings to get back to where we need to be. Keeping things prioritized will keep us all on track, #1 God, #2 Family, #3 Country. And in the famous words from the old Christmas movie about Ebenezer Scrooge, uttered by Tiny Tim;  "God Bless us every one."

Good  'luck' though good preparation is better.  Like others, love the last sentence of your post and remember Psalm 144:1
