That possibility never came to fruition and I deeply regret that. Rest Eternally in Peace John, save me a seat on that celestial fishing boat! PLEASE, PLEASE WATCH FOR SIGNS, GET REGULAR CHECK-UPS AND IF NECESSARY, GET TESTED. EARLY DETECTION CAN BE THE BEST CURE IN MANY CASES. Off of my podium..... Rest In Peace John. God Bless your wife Nancy and the rest of your family in this terrible time. I know you now patrol the streets of Heaven so my tears are not for you, but for me no longer being able to talk with you and missing you. Hopefully I will join you someday and maybe we can patrol together. You will be sorely missed. |

| Posted 5 months ago Administrative notation: As promised quite a while back, I advised you PoliceLink folks that no death would be posted without verification. This was due to a very difficult fake death posting from a now-banned prior PoliceLink user. This verification process deals only with PoliceLink members who die. John Groh's death has been verified. ++++++++++++++++++ His passing continues to linger. John and I had some good times via PM and harassing each other in 'other ways'. He was a good dude. Our first full on faux argument had to do with the choosing of his username. He was defiant in a friendly manner. I advised him that we could let his username ride as long as no one complained. No one ever did. He was one of those rare individuals that could get away with this kind of stuff.

| Posted 5 months ago I never knew John, but my heartfelt prayers go to his family, co-workers, and PL friends. John was not killed in the Line of Duty, but was felled fighting a battle he was unable to win. Rest in Peace in the loving arms of The Lord. .

| Posted 5 months ago I didn't really know John, even though he was on my PL frinds list. I always looked forward to all of his posts responding to the various stories here, as I felt he was always spot-on with his commentaries and observations. There was a forum here concerning how we all came up with our screen names. When I explained mine ( Senior dispatcher in the Security Department at Sea World of Florida ), he stated he thought it was the best screen name he had seen yet. Even though I didn't know him, I instinctively felt it was a huge compliment from a very respected PL member, and I still feel the same way today. Wish I could have gotten to know him better.
