Just thought I'd say hey and introduce myself to the forum! 

I'm a 22 year old about to graduate from the University of Colorado with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Political Scence and seriously considering a future career in LE. I've been on the website a few times before to gather information about the job and do some research and so far, it has been extremely helpful! I know the forums will be just as helpful as I begin the application process and hope to join the rest of you guys and gals in the LE Community. I have the utmost respect for everyone in law enforcement and appreciate the work you all do every day. I know it can be a difficult and stressful job and too few civilians give you all the credit you deserve! As difficult and stressful as it might be, I still can't think of a job I would rather pursue. I'm determined and motivated and, like I said before, I look forward to joining you all one day (hopefully) very soon!

Congrats on your accomplishments thus far. I am glad to see that you got a degree in something that can be used in a wide variety of fields. Stay patient and stay focussed. LE is not an easy profession to enter into at the moment. The application process can be difficult and can take a long time. If this is something that you truly want to do, then keep your options open, stay determined to stick it out, and be willing to go where the jobs are.
