Don't you just love it when you have a drunk following your commands and a bystander gets them fired up again.  Then you have to fight them until your back up arrives.

Not when your the only deputy on but its nice when the trooper was heading that way from another county.

Tough call. Indeed, both should at least be cuffed. One drunk, one interfering.


But alone? Not so much. You might have to do a little dance until your partner arrives.


I have seen two people working in concert to lure and misdirect officers to take advantage of them. There are also plenty of videos out there that demonstrate that you NEED to have help, or at least someone else enroute to your location. Every time.

Sarge, you do what you have to do, what you get paid for. I've cuffed oned to the car door while fighting the other. I've cuffed one to the closest telephone pole while subduing the other. Well, you get it. Been there, done that.
