Posted almost 6 years ago I just got this news on the prayer chain of Canadian police chaplains. Please pray for Contable Robert Plunkett and his family. Two people are in custody after a 22-year veteran of the York Regional Police force was killed early Thursday on a residential street in Markham, north of Toronto, police Chief Armand Labarge said in a statement. Const. Robert Plunkett, 43, was a member of the Special Services Unit, police said. Police have confirmed that two people have been arrested, and charged. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago The Constable's funeral is tomorrow. They announced on the news tonight that one of the two who were apprehended will be tried for first degree murder. As well he should be. An aside: the two guys were stealing airbags when this happened. And they were out on their own recognizance for the crime of stealing airbags. Imagine that. |
