You might consider Kaspersky Anti-Virus software. Easy, reliable, up to date and effective.

Aim at the high mark and you will hit it. No, not the first time, not the second time and maybe not the third. But keep on aiming and keep on shooting for only practice will make you perfect. Finally you'll hit the bull's-eye of success.

Thanks for letting us know Steven.  You could also try Avast, I've used that for years.  It works great and oh did I mention it's free!  Hope to see you back around here soon.

Thanks all for your advise.  The cure was worse than the virus!  I used Kaspersky virus removal tool and once removed the system crashed.  This nasty virus had a capability built in that once it is removed, so is your operating system. Nevertheless, I'm back up and running with Windows 8.  I personally, don't like it and prefer Windows 7 better.  I will give it a chance though!

I have a cold virus, does that count?  Of course it counts, the government conspiracy affects us all! They make us and our computers sick!  Everything is related.  Probably not, but I am still ready for the zombie apocalypse!  Sorry, but I forgot a few things at Walmart!  Got to go, I hear they are selling 22 cal long range 600 ct for 10 bucks a box, I have a coupon!  Jim, it's not who has the most guns. It's who has the most ammo. LOL, be safe brother!
