Posted 4 months ago had the opportunity to watch this movie on line complements of veetle, com, good actors portraying lapd sector team, movie opens with a good car chase ending in gun battle where officers are winners, movie shows alot of typical interaction with patrol car partners, wives and girlfriends, brought back some memories, cops in a burning building doing a great rescue, that one had me gasping for breath and trying to feel the walls, the animals we have to deal with while working in high crime areas of this country, the cops are heard discussing just that , they talk of how they see more in one month than some do in their careers, I know, working in bed stuy, your weapon was drawn a few times a month, gun collars were a daily occurence, cops funerals an all too familiar occurence. the ending, where the officers are ambushed left me remembering too much, my hands ached from the clenched fists, the one thing i took out of this movie is that there is a war on out there, it has been going on for a while but it is getting more violent and the end is not yet in sight. BE SAFE AND HARD OUT THERE, BACK EACH OTHER UP AT ALL TIMES.

Posted 4 months ago AND just a post script to armyvetcopcoach, i did watch your review on utube, and i disagree on one point, your point as to the ambush with ak47's was unrealistic as to only one cop shot once in the hand after 4 perps shooting at them. I am sure you forgot that when on full auto with an ak, only the first round will go anywhere close to where you aimed, the rest are shooting birds out of the sky, even a skilled operator finds it difficult to shoot an ak 47 on full auto with any kind of accuracy. just my opinion of course.

Posted 4 months ago It was a good movie and in some of the metro areas it must give an accurate depiction of how things are, perhaps LA is like that? I can't begin to speak or presume as I have never been there or worked for a large agency. What I did see is that it portrayed acurately the bond of the brotherhood and the bond that partners build to the point that it makes one inseperable when you go through tough times with a fellow officer(s). This is the bond that one builds after being in combat, there is nothing that can ever change that bond, it surpasses death. As a cop it made me proud to be part of the family and value the lives of the brothers and sisters that I serve with. We all know there is more to LE than what the movie showed...

Posted 4 months ago Never saw it... Have ASP will travel. Justice is the one thing you should always find, you gotta saddle up your boys you gotta draw a hard line. When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune and we'll all meet back at the local saloon. And we'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing whiskey for my men beer for my horses.

The only part I had a real problem with is the female gangbanger blowing marijuana smoke in the female cops face! A supervisor told me he could see that happening and not do anything about it! We agreed to disagree! All I could say was if that had happened to me then it would have been game on! We agreed once again that is how i am but he would not have done anything about it based on an apparent relationship between the banger and the cop! Relationship or not respect is respect and the law is the law! “The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post “Thou shalt not steal,” “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” and “Thou shalt not lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.” |
