| Posted 3 months ago It may take awhile depending on your circumstances and financial situation and as long as you obtain your college degree, that's all it matters but that piece of paper will help your career go a long way. It took me forever to complete my 2-year degree between holding down a full-time job and a family but I did it and it felt good. I've been in your shoes before testing for multiple departments and being told "you pass our minimum requirements but there are more 'exiciting' candidates that we're interested in. Thanks for applying." I asked them what that meant and was told the candidates had either a 4-year or masters degree and I didn't. It sucks but that's life. Keep trying and eventually you'll get there if you want it bad enough. Good luck! http://www.iamsorryivotedforobama.com/ How's that HOPE and CHANGE working out for you? What would you do for a Klondike bar? |

| Posted about 1 month ago It's been a while now but I will try to remember, I believe the pushups were 25, 29 situps and a 1.5 in 14.30. For starting cardio and already doing a 1.5 that is awesome. Was that treadmill or pavement? That makes a bigger difference than you would think! Good luck! |

| Posted about 1 month ago I have an Oral Board Interview coming up this week for Mesa PD. I'm pretty nervous, as I am not very good at selling myself, and this is my 3rd oral board interview... But Im just glad that I got another shot! Anyway, good luck with your training and future LE endeavors!! "Never give up, NEVER BACK DOWN!" "I'm a peacock! You gotta let me fly!!" |

You have about 6 inches and about 10-15 pounds on the guy we just hired and is currently on phase two of his FTO program. Keep on plugging away. If you want it bad enough, you will get it. |

Thanks SkoolCop! I appreciate the encouragement. This was by far the best physical test I've done as of yet (I get better every month). There were about 20 applicants and I came in 4th overall as far as the physical score goes so that is a vast improvement to my first physical about 10 months ago! |

Great job! I'm not certain of the exact number of applicants there were for Mesa this time, but out of the group that I was in I want to say there were at least 50. We lost 14 people in just the sit-ups and push-ups. It made realize how many people really aren't ready for the test physically. I'm glad I prepared. 3 people didn't pass the 1.5 mile run. Anyway, I had my oral board, still waiting to hear. Good luck with yours! "Never give up, NEVER BACK DOWN!" "I'm a peacock! You gotta let me fly!!" |
