im concidering  working in law enforcement in the state of Florida after the military. I was just wondering what are good acdemies and agencies to go to. I was looking for a agency with little to no internal affiars issues and a great track record for proactive policing and decent oppertunity.

The one that will hire and sponsor you at the academy. 

 A lot of good departments and academies in the Sunshine state, just depends where you want to live and work.  Something to keep in mind however is who is going to protect you when the cr@p hits the fan whether you at fault or not for the cr@p, and also who is going to protect you from getting stabbed in the back by either your own department or the city/county you work for.  For this reason you should look for a department that is covered by a LE union I.e. the FOP or PBA.  Many if not most of the major departments in FL are covered by either the FOP or the PBA. While out on the street you need to be 100% focused on the matters at hand and not worrying about all the other cr@p that comes with the job which why it is nice to have a LE union taking care of all those other matters...
