Under cover of right to assembly comes a double-pronged attack.  Attack our protected rights AND attack mourners funerary customs by means of cruelty .

We have had threats by them to show up and never did. There was one time I believe it was from where I live last year where they were supposed to show up within a couple of hours and the Patrtiot Guard and others all showed up and they would never had been seen if they made it. Fortunately for the family but unfortunately for them they had two problems...one was the permit was for the wrong location and best of all they were pulled over for a traffic violation and I forget what exactly the problem was but whatever it was the Agency that pulled them over had to impound the vehicle while they were clearing things up which went past the funeral and the burial.

I have a friend who is a Patriot Guard ride. Thank you and all Patriot Guard Riders for taking on this endeavor to ensure those who are grieving from individuals who claim to be Christians but we all are not are going to be having alot of explaining when they are standing before God.

They are lost. I've lived within 30 minutes of their church. They do, however, have the right to assemble and protest. Best you can do is try to ignore them, which is hard. I feel for the families and friends of the fallen, but there isn't much you can do unless they overstep their boundaries.

 They threatened to come to protest here when an Oklahoma was killed. We had a hudge turn out of supporters to scare them away. But what they do if terrible. We are trying to honor a hero and then this group shows up. It makes me so mad. 

That's true. What I meant is we had a great turn out with supporters that maybe pushed them back where we didn't notice if they where there or not. That is great advice just agnore them. 

Yes. We deal with them on a regular basis, as they are from my town and still stir the pot every opportunity they get. I will tell that they film everything and do their utmost to get people stirred up, they walk on , stand on and generally disrespect the flag, but they have yet to burn it. We generally ignore them because they want attention and to get you stirred up so that they can sue you and support their hate campaign.

At funerals or events in Topeka we generally have a big show of you guys and they along with the fire departments and sometimes the public will rev their motors and or do the best to drown out their hateful annoyances. The patriot guard in our area will park close to them to block their view of the fuenral service and or obstruct their position close to the church and then they play loud patriot music and or rev their motors to drown them out. Fire trucks like to show up and run their engines loud or honk their horns too.

Just be careful they don't get you to respond negatively. We had an organized group called "Not today Fred" for awhile that would stand beside or across from them and pickett against their presents, thus peacefully giving it back to Phelps and his crew, but I have not heard anything from them recently. At one city down south the population parked their cars behind them at the hotel forcing them to not be able to leave to drive their cars to the funeral location. If this were to happen they have Kansas tags and a little SN in the upper left corner, sooo, jus sayen. Good luck and be safe...

 I have had to deal with these people a lot when I worked Security for Kansas State University.  They give Kansas a bad name.  Most of them, especially the little kids have really have no idea what they are saying or protesting for.  All my encounters were under control because they have a special protest area at Bramlage.  They are well organized though, the video tape everything and have lawyers in the family.  

Thank you for your service with the patriot guard.  I believe your mission is really in god's plan.
